SPECIALIZATIONS: Restorative Yoga, inversion practice
Trevor is a Balanced Body® Pilates Certified Mat and Reformer instructor with nearly a decade of teaching experience. He is also a certified AntiGravity Fitness® and Vinyasa Yoga instructor. Prior to his becoming a fitness professional, he has twenty years of experience as a dance teacher and performer. Locally, he has taught for Alvin Ailey, The Joffrey School, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Steps on Broadway, Gibney Dance Center, and Peridance Center. Highlights from his performance career include eight seasons as an ensemble dancer in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and more than three years as an ensemble dancer on the first national tour of WICKED. In Fall 2025, Trevor graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hunter College with a B.A. in Human Biology, an interdisciplinary pre-healthcare degree with a concentration in mind, body, and health. In June, he will begin his graduate studies at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in a dual degree program pursuing a B.S. in Public Health and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy with the graduating class of 2029. Becoming a Pilates instructor played a significant role in Trevor’s decision to start his journey toward becoming a DPT. With a strong emphasis on anatomical understanding and biomechanics, Pilates has allowed Trevor to seamlessly blend corrective and rehabilitative exercise in a way that allows him to serve as an instructor who caters well to those either currently in, or having recently finished PT, and returning to exercise. More than 300 hours of experience as a student volunteer within a variety of clinical PT settings have provided Trevor with insight that allows him to personalize private sessions that meet individual client needs with creative solutions and expansive academic pre-professional knowledge that lies well beyond that of his many certifications. Trevor’s classes are challenging, educational, and accommodate all levels. It is his sincere pleasure and genuine passion to serve his community as a teacher and maybe even a friend; it’s just one of those one-sided friendships where he does all the talking and tells you what to do.
