Leola found Pilates at the end of a winding path through intersecting artistic disciplines. A native New Yorker, she studied jazz and studio art while also training in dance, including ballet. Her abstract portrait work led to large-scale murals, and her dance community led her to Pilates.

Certified in mat (2009) and apparatus (2014), Leola blends fitness and creativity in her teaching, offering thoughtful, body-aware instruction rooted in movement and artistry. When she’s not leading classes around town, she’s likely painting outdoors—pretending she’s about to become a millennial Mondrian.
